HOME: Welcome

DeJure Paralegal Services operates as a freelance paralegal firm in New York and Florida. Our objective is to exceed the expectations of our clients and to achieve our mutual target goals. Furthermore, we aim to position ourselves among the top five paralegal firms in New York and Florida while providing high-quality work product and provide a legal support system to small law firms or solo practitioners.

DeJure Paralegal Service is managed by Larisa Bulachi, a law school graduate of St. John's Law School and a former attorney from Moldova. With over 13 years of experience in the legal field, including four years of practicing law in Moldova and nine years as a paralegal in the United States, Larisa is well-equipped to meet the firm's goals and objectives.

Outsourcing paralegal work can lead to significant financial savings for your firm. Larisa specializes in matrimonial and family law litigation, with a focus on legal drafting, legal research, motion practice, case strategy, and trial preparation.

We offer a smart way to boost your firm's profits.

By collaborating with me as a virtual or freelance paralegal, your firm can enhance its efficiency and significantly reduce overhead costs. You will only incur expenses for the time dedicated to your legal project, allowing you to avoid the financial burdens associated with a full-time employee, including taxes, benefits, vacation pay, sick leave, office space, and training time. My freelance paralegal services can serve as a revenue-generating asset for your firm, as my fees are lower than the rates you charge your clients for these services, resulting in immediate profit for your business.

In instances where your workload changes due to court appearances, various deadlines, or unsuccessful settlements, I am available to help you manage your tasks without the need to employ someone who may not be needed during less busy times. We can work together on a flexible basis to maintain the efficiency of your practice.

WHY CHOOSE US

Within today's legal industry, a significant number of small firms and solo attorneys operate under constrained budgets and often lack adequate support personnel. Some lawyers fail to recognize that there is a juncture at which handling all responsibilities alone incurs greater costs than hiring a contract, freelance, or virtual paralegal (which I refer to interchangeably). Here are seven persuasive arguments for attorneys to consider the employment of a contract paralegal.

Prevent Burnout

It is a reality rather than a myth. Numerous attorneys face burnout, yet it is preventable. One should strive to live for personal fulfillment, rather than solely for work. If this appears unattainable, consider implementing changes immediately. Assigning suitable tasks to a virtual paralegal can significantly reduce your workload, allowing for a more balanced life beyond legal practice. This approach may ultimately preserve both your mental well-being and your professional trajectory.

Scalability

Scalability provides the flexibility to adjust the hours of virtual paralegal assistance based on your demands. Workloads can fluctuate, especially for attorneys engaged in litigation, who often experience more significant changes in their workflow than those in other professions. This makes the option of utilizing a freelance paralegal especially suitable for litigation practices, as you are charged only for the time you actually use, and only when it is necessary.

Profitability

Freelance paralegals act as a financial advantage for law firms. As independent contractors, they are less costly than traditional employees, allowing firms to bypass expenses such as taxes, benefits, vacation time, sick leave, and other related costs. Typically, firms charge clients double the hourly rate they pay freelance paralegals, leading to immediate profit from this relationship.

Client Acquisition

When lawyers are overly focused on fulfilling deadlines and keeping existing clients happy, they may fail to engage in activities that attract new clients. Solo practitioners and small law firms often face the ongoing challenge of dividing their time between legal duties and business operations. Both elements are crucial for the long-term success of a firm. By delegating certain tasks to a contract paralegal, attorneys can find a more effective balance and prioritize their time towards the most valuable activities.

Team Support

Attorneys sometimes find it essential to have a team. Even the most capable and efficient attorneys may require additional support and collaboration at certain times. The preparation for a hearing, mediation, or trial can prove to be a formidable task for a solo attorney or one with limited backing. Often, the perspective of 'another pair of eyes and ears' is invaluable for feedback, proofreading, strategizing, and ensuring mental stability during demanding times.

Client Attention

They appreciate receiving timely phone call returns, email responses, and updates regarding their cases, even when there are no developments. This is vital for ensuring client satisfaction, obtaining referrals, and establishing a solid reputation. Yet, do you have the time to manage this alongside your other responsibilities? A freelance paralegal can take charge of this important, though often disregarded, component of running a successful practice.

Peace of Mind

When faced with a busy schedule, one often experiences a lingering worry about potentially missing important details; deadlines might be overlooked; crucial meetings could fail to appear on your calendar; or there may simply be inadequate hours in the day to achieve the quality of work you wish to provide for your clients. You might assume that operating with fewer staff members is a financial advantage, but if the quality of your work diminishes, you risk damaging your reputation and heightening the chances of a malpractice claim.

Freedom to be creative

You will have the opportunity to develop your own voice, build your own brand; become an expert in your field; expand your practice; practice in the areas that are meaningful to you; blog, write, present, teach, or whatever your passion may be.

Take control over your life and focus on what you love!
